After 20 years of the Doi Moi (Renovation) cause, the Vietnamese people have recorded many great and glorious achievements in all fields: politics, economics, culture, society and foreign affairs. The country constantly enjoys socio-political stability. Most notably, over the last decade, the economy of Viet Nam has been developing quickly and steadily. Viet Nam entertains trade-economic relations with almost all the countries and territories in the world. Vietnam’s recent membership of the World Trade Organization provides another vivid example of the country’s relentless efforts to integrate further both in width and depth into the world economy. With more than 84 million people, the majority of which is within working age, well known for their industry and diligence, and endowed with ample natural resources, Viet Nam is now seen as a peaceful, beautiful and friendly country, an attractive destination for the foreign investors and businessmen.
The relationship between Viet Nam and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the establishment of diplomatic relation in 1999 has seen positive developments. Our economic relations have been gradually expanding, especially in the field of trade, investment and labor. By launching the website of the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we hope to provide the readers more information about Viet Nam in general and our Embassy in particular in an attempt to promote further mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between our two peoples.
